The Faculty of Fine Arts and Music proudly presents
Rise. The Melbourne Conservatorium of Music Philharmonic Orchestra
Guest Conductor – Joseph Lallo
In their final concert of the year, The Melbourne Conservatorium of Music Philharmonic Orchestra presents an evocative and uplifting program of Australian and French music. Twice ARIA-nominated pianist and composer Nat Bartsch invites listeners on a journey of reflection and renewal with “Hope for Orchestra,” blending hopefulness and hopelessness into a soothing and comforting listening experience. Katia Beaugeais’ “Like Snowdrops You Will Shine” incorporates Australian nature sounds to create a serene and uplifting soundscape, symbolising hope, courage, and new beginnings. Georges Bizet’s “L’Arlesiénne Suites” contrast pastoral folk tunes and poignant slow melodies with dramatic and energetic movements, offering a dynamic conclusion to the concert.
