Mama Melodies Pop-up

Welcome to the first Mama Melodies Out-door Pop-up!

A community singing group session for all Mums( *and those identifying as Mums) to offer a supportive space for group singing and building creative connections- out in nature!

Babes in arms and/or bigger kids are very welcome to join, however, my focus will be on YOUR needs and resourcing you as a Mum during the group :)

**You might be a new Mum of a baby, a seasoned Mum to school aged or older kids, a mother to grown up children or an expecting mama- you are all most welcome as Mama Melodies is about fostering a supportive village for Mum's at all stages of their motherhood journey through the power of shared singing and music.

Facilitated by Dr Liz McLean, a local Registered Music Therapist (RMT, PhD), Certified Motherhood Studies Practitioner and Mum of three.

Please bring a picnic rug/mat and a cuppa/snacks and I will have some kid friendly toys/instruments and props to keep little ones occupied while we sing. Being out in nature is usually a big win for our little ones anyway!

You are also most welcome to have your own Mum, girlfriend or support person to also join the group and assist with your little one if this means you can get the most out of the experience for yourself x

What to expect?

• Lots of fun group singing in unison, round and harmony
• Lyric sheets to guide song learning
• No formal musical background, music reading or singing experience required
• Simple songs and harmony learnt by ear/ no solos
• We will learn some gorgeous musical mantras and a couple more contemporary songs
• Space to chat, make new connections with other mums and share about our motherhood experiences
• A relaxed, inclusive and accepting environment with no judgement
• The group will run from 10am- 11:30 am, aiming for approx. 60 mins of singing between 10 and 11 am.
