Centenary Dance Academy-Tap Ensemble

We are thrilled to invite you to participate in an exciting new feature at our end-of-year concert: the Tap Ensemble! This dynamic group will showcase the talents of our students across various age groups, from Grade 2 Comdance and Junior (Tap and Jazz combo) up to our senior students.

The Tap Ensemble will be choreographed by the renowned Lucy Flook, founder of Tap and Jazz at CDA. Lucy's impressive career in the performing arts industry includes her role as choreographer for the Australian Girls Choir and her significant contributions to shaping the dance curriculum in Queensland schools.

This ensemble will meet for 7 sessions between August and December to rehearse and perfect their performance. We are eager to see our students shine on stage, demonstrating their skills and abilities in this high-energy tap dance.

Participation in the Tap Ensemble requires a commitment to attending all 7 rehearsals (dates below) and performing in the concert. The cost of participation is $270, plus an additional costume fee (max $100). Register your expression of interest at the trybooking link below. Invoicing will be sent out once we reach the minimum number of participating students.

What: A special feature item to be performed at the end of year concert celebrating tap. 

Who: Tap dancers from Comdance Tap Grade 2 and Junior (tap and Jazz Combo) up to our Comdance Tap Grade 6.

Cost: $270 + an additional costume cost (max of $100). All sessions included in this fee. Tap Ensemble is not included in any CDA class Discount offers. 

Minimum: For the tap ensemble to go ahead we must have a minimum of 10 dancers participating.
