FOX TALE

Fox Tale are your friendly neighbourhood indie/pop rock band from Brisbane, Australia, navigating the music scene with their infectious and anthemic sound. Best mates Luis Jacobson (Lead Vocalist/Guitarist) and Caleb Wilson (Drummer) have shown they aren’t afraid to experiment with their genre, hitting you with an 80s-inspired disco track amidst a holy grail of indie rock bangers. Their 2023 singles ‘Stuck in the 80s’ and ‘Shower Thoughts’ have quickly become fan favourites at their Brisbane shows - in renowned venues such as The Brightside and Black Bear Lodge - where crowds were heard chanting the lyrics like they’d been listening on repeat for weeks. Joining fellow band mates - Ben Batistich (Lead Guitarist) and Marcus Kolo Higgs (Bassist) - on stage, they create an electrifying experience with raw energy and tight-knit musicianship that’ll sweep you off your feet faster than you can say encore!

HILZ

Hilz is a Meanjin-based singer-songwriter who has been making music for longer than she can remember. After a long stint in musical theatre (most recently including a 2022 national tour of Shake & Stir’s Jane Eyre, understudying Sarah McLeod of the Superjesus), in 2022 Hilz made the decision to finally take the plunge into releasing original music.

Writing and performing alongside her brother Al (keyboard/bass), and supported live by Gabe (guitar) and Will (drums), the group have decades of performance experience and have played in venues all over Brisbane, including the Tivoli, Lefty’s Music Hall, Bloodhound Bar and the Powerhouse.

Hilz's sound has been described as a fresh and modern take on pop with commanding powerhouse vocals, earwormy melodies, and searing “tongue in cheek” lyrics, all augmented by an infectious punk attitude and kick ass stage presence. Taking inspiration from everyone from Kimbra to Paramore to Barbra Streisand, the Hilz experience will draw you in and make you an instant fan.

MONSTERA

A salted-and-spiced blend of blues-influenced rock with a twist of modern pop—this is Monstera. Cranking up the heat in Brisbane’s music scene since early 2021, Monstera is fast establishing itself as yet another Aussie great. The band combine smooth harmonies, ambient guitar tones, and refreshingly raw lyricism—sounds that wash through you like those of Ocean Alley and Spacey Jane. Together, this five-membered group of determined musos have taken their music from garage jam-outs to supporting both Horror-Show at Brunswick Street Live and Seaweed on Sticks at Felons Barrel Hall, as well as placing as a Passport to Airlie Finalist in early 2023. Monstera released their debut single Sanity in November 2021, before completing their debut EP The Borderline for a March 2023 release. Monstera’s music is a collection of head-banging hits that touch the soul with their tales of loss, love, and all the hot messes in between. Not to mention, it is guaranteed to be your next obsession.

POETIC CHAOS

Coming from completely different backgrounds, Poetic Chaos was created from a place of openness and creativity; in the search for understanding the conflicting feelings that come with being in your 20’s and not knowing what's next. Jade Schuck was born in Australia and crossed paths with Argentinian born Clara Satzke in 2017. In 2019 they began their musical journey writing and producing music together. It wasn't until 2021/2022 that the duo formed Poetic Chaos. Every bit of themselves is portrayed in their poetry. Every ounce of chaos, every bottled-up feeling. Poetic Chaos doesn't hold back when delving into the opposing worlds of their minds and reality. With soft acoustic melodies and hypnotising harmonies, the duo challenges the untouched thoughts and emotions - to let go and return to themselves through music. The duo have recently supported Stella Donnelly at the Tanks Arts Centre Cairns and performed at the Townsville Folk Festival where they successfully won the song-writing competition for their single Before January
