Such a Daze

Hailing from the vibrant music scene of Melbourne, Australia, Such a Daze is a dynamic four-piece band on a mission to redefine the boundaries of alternative rock. Since their inception on February 2nd, 2023, the band has been making waves with their distinctive sound and remarkable journey.Such a Daze made their debut with the release of their first single and music video, 'Freddie,' on March 3rd, which swiftly captured the attention of music enthusiasts worldwide. 'Freddie' catapulted the band into the spotlight, amassing over 1,000 followers on Instagram, 4,000 streams on Spotify, and 2,000 views on YouTube, all with just one single under their belt. However, it was their second release, 'Miles Away,' on August 25th, that truly showcased their musical prowess. The single gained over 2,000 Spotify streams within its first week, contributing to a remarkable surge of 1,500 monthly listeners. Such a Daze's genre-defying blend of post-grunge, alternative rock, and '90s inspirations struck a chord with audiences worldwide.

Diversity and inclusivity are at the core of Such a Daze's ethos. Lead vocalist Cedric Daze is a proud member of the LGBTQI community, striving to increase representation within the post-grunge and alternative rock genres. The band's commitment to embracing different perspectives and backgrounds is further exemplified by their drummer, Terry Law, a Hong Kong emigrant who, five years ago, embarked on a journey to Australia with minimal knowledge of the English language. His story is a testament to the power of music as a universal language, transcending borders and connecting people from all walks of life.

Such a Daze has also carved a niche for themselves in South America, amassing a devoted fan base through strategic promotion across various platforms. Their upcoming release, 'We Can't Go On,' in collaboration with Grammy-nominated songwriter Trey Bruce, is eagerly anticipated and set to grace the airwaves in the summer of 2023.

In an industry where quality and engagement are paramount, Such a Daze stands out for their unwavering commitment to delivering top-notch music and visuals. Unlike conventional approaches, they invest substantially in their craft, ensuring that every release is a testament to their dedication and growth.

Malibu Spacey

Melbourne/Naarm band Malibu Spacey makes music that's all jangly 12 string acoustic guitars, intricate lead lines, three-part vocal harmonies and noodly bass grooves. The sound takes pieces of 70s country rock, folk and dreamy indie rock, fitting somewhere in the world of artists like Cass McCombs and Angel Olsen. In 2022, Malibu Spacey released debut four track EP Something To Do In The Desert, produced by Rohan Sforcina at Head Gap and mastered by Joe Carra at Crystal Mastering. 2023 singles Electrocutie and Old Soft Shoe have received regular airplay across community stations, including PBS, 2XX and 2ser. The band's debut album is due for release early 2024.
