AWOL & Knuckledragger & supports TBA in Canberra at Sideway (Sunday May 26th)

SIDEWAY

FRIDAY 8 MARCH

$20 + $5 from every ticket donated to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.

The people asked, so the people delivered... and by people, we mean the new union of heavyweights in Uzis X Akimbo & Lacklustre Records...

AWOL, newly crowned as Melbourne's finest and bravest hardcore export (purely on the notion that they're stopping in Canberra on a national tour) are doing us the absolute service of parking for a few hours on their drive back down the Hume from Sydney. We're also stoked to accomodate their touring partners in Knuckledragger (who similarly have never mustered up the courage to visit us here in Canberra).

Promoting their brand new LP, "Tear 'em To Bits" -- releasing through the omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient Last Ride Records -- AWOL are touring the country (well, some parts of it...) in support of their newest output. It's hard not to listen to this record and not feel as if you're going to be the one torn to bits. Monstrous, groove-driven riffs with meaty breakdowns -- an honest reflection of their influences, as well as a total reverence for hardcore and the community they're a part of. It's something special for a band like this to give back -- and you can bear witness to it here, live in the flesh.

We'll be announcing the local supports (two of them) a little closer to the date so keep your eyes peeled on this page (as well as the Facebook/Instagram posts). You can definitely expect that there'll be that local Canberra flavour you've grown accustomed to over the last year-and-a-bit in what we could call a "resurgence".

Lacklustre Records acknowledges that this event takes place on the stolen & unceded land of the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people who are, have been and remain as the traditional owners of this land.

We will continue to donate $5 from every ticket sold at every Lacklustre event to the PRCS until Gaza is liberated, and Palestine is free.
