Cello Delights
Acclaimed German/NZ cellist, chamber musician, teacher and festival director Edith Salzmann makes her CMS debut performing cello sonatas by Debussy and Beethoven, with a splash of tango from Australian composer Elena Kats-Chernin to get those feet tapping. Edith Salzmann is a Naxos artist and has recorded 10 CDs of works by Beethoven, Hummel, Zemlinsky, Pleyel and others. She has recorded for radio and TV in Europe, the USA, Canada, Asia and Australasia and performed in such prestigious venues as the Barbican in London, the Lincoln Centre in New York and the Alte Oper in Frankfurt. Join Edith and renowned pianist Glenn Riddle in this concert of cello masterworks.
