About this Event

WORDS OUT - Continuous Voices is a series of writing workshops for survivors of sexual assault/abuse and friends or family members. This workshop series will be held for people identifying as women and led by visual artists and musicians Paige Duggan and Georgie Williams.

Over the sessions we will reflect, share, listen and celebrate culminating in a spoken word music video. We will work creatively with the groups to write songs and spoken word pieces that tell the stories of our lives to strengthen, transform and uplift.

You will have the chance to enrich your story through making new connections while listening to and collaborating with others.

An opportunity to perform and present the work you create may be available if you feel happy to do so or your contribution may remain anonymous.

For bookings: grab a ticket for the first event and it will register you for the whole series of six Mondays 1 - 3pm from February 22nd 2020 (if you can't make every one, that's ok). We will email you prior to the creative sessions and touch base before the workshop series starts!

This work is being commissioned by the City of Ballarat as part of the Continuous Voices Project
